Worship

River of Joy will gather at 11 am for worship May 20th at the Spring Lake Township Hall.  Stick around for a potluck!  Bring your favorite summer salad or a dish to pass if you are able.

You can also worship with our partner congregation St. Mary Magdalene Lutheran Church in Savage.  That worship service starts and 9 am.

We think worship should be a way of life and not just a weekly activity. But we do gather regularly to celebrate what God has done in Christ and explore where he is leading us in our daily lives.
We enjoy each others company, listen to some great music, frequently share some food, and invite God’s presence to shape who we are and what we do.

Why: God is God and we are not. We praise him for who he is, for what he does and we ask for his help because we don’t have all the answers.

We try to keep things creative, casual, and child-friendly.
Sometimes it’s hard to hear because kids are kids and they get loud, but we really don’t mind (even if it is your kids!). But pay attention, because often God teaches the adults through the words of the children among us! We have three really good musicians (honest). Our musicians each have their own style and you never know who is leading music from week to week so you may want to come more than once to get a feel for what River of Joy’s worship is all about.

During the summer we worship on MOST Sunday evenings (6:00 pm) at the Spring Lake Township townhall

During the school year we worship on Sunday mornings (11:00 am) at the Spring Lake Township townhall
