Love in a Glovebox

How do you respond when you see a homeless person on the street corner? Each fall we gather to prepare care packages to carry in our gloveboxes to respond to a neighbor in need who we will certainly meet down the road during the winter months.  Bring gloves, hats, socks, granola bars, toothbrushes, McDonald’s gift cards, etc. to contribute to making the care packages. Find out more about Love in a Glovebox.

Building Furniture for SafeHaven

Safe Haven for Youth is a teen homeless facility in Prior Lake where we have plugged in to serve and assist.  During the summer of 2010 we coordinated the serving of meals at the facility every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.  We also adopted (furnished) one of their apartments.

Cheerful Givers Service Events

We take some time to get together and create birthday bags that we then deliver to Community Action Council (360 Communities). From there, the bags are distributed to children who would perhaps not otherwise have presents to celebrate their birthdays.
